Peter Herresthal is professor at the Norwegian Academy of Music and visiting Professor at Royal College of Music in London , and New York University.
Recent master class and teaching visits include Manhattan School , Chicago institute ,USC Thornton School in LA and spring 2018 visiting artist and professor at Oberlin Conservatory.
He has previously held the position of professor at Edsberg Manor and at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm ( 2002-2008) and was in 2018 elected foreign member of the Royal Swedish Academy.
Peter's ex students work as soloists, chambermusicians and orchestra musicians all over Scandinavia including several leaders and concertmasters .
From fall 2019 Peter will also teach at The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen.
Herresthal is artistic director of the Summer academy at Voksenåsen in Oslo.
